Covid-19 Pandemic Protocol
Animal Vision Care & Surgical Center
Animal Vision Care & Surgical Center takes precautionary measures to keep our clients and medical team safe while continuing to provide essential care to your beloved pets. Only the clinic team will be permitted inside our building when you receive veterinary care services while waiting inside your vehicle.
When you arrive, please check in by calling the clinic at 818-501-5155 and indicate where you and your pet will be located and verify your cell phone number and e-mail address. You may park in a metered space at the front of the clinic on Ventura Boulevard, or for free at the rear of the clinic in our spacious lot. A team member will meet you outside of your vehicle to collect your pet and bring them inside the clinic.
Please remember to always wear a face mask and maintain at least a 6- foot distance when interacting with our team. All dogs need to be securely restrained on a leash and all cats and smaller animals in a kennel. The rear entrance is accessed through an alleyway with white gates adjacent to the rear entrance of the CVS Pharmacy (our business sign on the pole also signals the alleyway). While you remain in your vehicle, we will contact you via phone to obtain a medical history and update on your pet. Please bring your pet’s medications (or a list) with you so that we can discuss his or her current medication schedule. It will also be helpful to know how much of the medication you have at home, whether it be a 1/4 tube or 1/2 a bottle, or 3 pills left, etc.
Dr. McNabb will examine your pet, discuss the medical findings and treatment plans with you over the phone or FaceTime, so you are present start to finish. A team member will then call you to review the instructions over the phone. A hard copy of the care instructions is provided to you or emailed to you depending on your preference. When your pet is ready to go home, we will bring your pet to your vehicle. We will then process your checkout and schedule any follow-up appointments over the phone at that time.
For clients picking up medication refills, please call the clinic when you arrive. We will process your payment over the phone and meet you at the front of our office to bring your medication out to you.
Due to the COVID-19 and the restrictive working conditions, we ask that you allow additional time for all transactions. Our team is committed to helping you and your pets during this stressful time. Thank you again for your understanding. Our team is working hard to safely meet everyone’s needs.
